I tried this batting after one of Lyn’s recent Hobbs presentations. I decided to use it on a larger size throw. Because of the quilting requirements (3” or less), I machine quilted it on my domestic machine, and then added big-stitch hand quilting between the machine quilting. It quilted wonderfully both ways.
It has become our family’s favorite quilt. It is cuddly, but also has a great weight to it. I have several quilts folded up in the basket in my living room, and every time someone goes to get a quilt, this is the first one they grab! I have 3 teenage boys, and they couldn’t care less what the quilt looks like, so I’m convinced the cozy batting is what draws them to want this quilt!
The only thing that would make this batting better would be the ability to stitch farther apart than 3”, but it’s definitely not a deal breaker. I will buy this batting again, and I’m looking forward to using it in other quilts!
