Hobbs Heirloom Premium 80/20 Cotton Blend Queen HLBYDF

Was expecting this batting to arrive as the 30 yard roll that I had purchased about 2 years ago but instead it was folded in half on a shorter roll. Inititally I was surprised and a bit disappointed as I wasn't aware that it was double folded. However when I opened it I discovered that double folded is actually easier to handle on my cutting table and easier to squeeze back into the big plastic bag it arrived in. So thank you Lyn as this roll of batting was great!! Love Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 batting and it arrived in a big box which I was happy about too!!!

I like this batting for its potential for less shrinkage since I don’t prewash fabrics. Many of my projects are art quilts and a medium loft works well. For throw quilts it has a soft drape and is less dense than the Dream variety so it’s not as flat after quilting. My quilting designs are fairly dense but it still has a nice loft. The price for a 15 yd roll makes it about $25 each for 5 queen size quilts. Very reasonable!

I am a professional longarmer, and I use this product exclusively. The product itself is wonderful, and I would give a 5 star rating, but I don't like the new way it's packaged. It comes folded in half so I cannot load it on the bottom bar of my machine. I also find it's more difficult to measure because I have to unfold and roll out on the floor.
